As you know, today «Kolokol» is one of the few mass media where non-believers can learn the Gospel Message, the truth about God and about the Church.
Unlike the Internet, the newspaper is the media that can come to man: people give «Kolokol» to others, subscribe unbelieving friends and relatives, Christian send newspaper to the high offices of power and to prisons, it is handed out to poor people and to patients in hospitals.

 

Therefore, «Kolokol» is a very convenient tool of evangelism. It is used in evangelism as by simple believers so as by missionaries starting new churches. So, in Vladivostok (Russia) Vyacheslav Zheleznyakov, longtime friend of our newspaper, with a team of Christians started a new Church. They actively uses «Kolokol» to preach the Gospel. Vyacheslav wrote: "The Newspaper is truly doing miracles, people are open to the Gospel. And it is thanks to the selfless work of your team on the field of God! I hand out the newspapers and see how the strongholds in people's hearts explodes. Reading the newspaper has become even more interesting, it has become even more mature and deep than before".

 

There is a special leaflet for non-believers in the newspaper, it called "Living in joy". It can be removed and distributed separately from the newspaper. All the materials of liner is designed for people that have not attended Church: in plain language the leaflet gives them information about God. Here are some interesting facts and living evidence of God's affairs; interviews of priests of different Christian denominations (Protestants, Orthodox, Catholics), and the responses of Christian Ministers to the questions of readers. It attracts people to God.
Jeanne Aphanasievna Yurkova. from Pastavy Church said: "I gave «Kolokol» at Christmas time to five sellers in the shop, and I told them about Christ. All five of them repented, asked for another «Kolokol»". Another woman from the same Church, Svetlana Sobol, works in the Dorm, and «Kolokol» is always on her table. People read it, and every holiday they ask her to tell something about God.

 

There are a lot of useful information in the newspaper: people can learn how to build their lives with God's wisdom. «Kolokol» shows Christianity with scientific, historical, and cultural point of view. The paper broadens the mind, talks about what is happening in the spiritual life of different countries and nations. Therefore, people just want to read «Kolokol»!
Anna Demidenok from Novopolotsk is a postman, and she often gives «Kolokol» to people. "So many people like it, they are happy to learn that it's possible to subscribe", – Anna says.
But «Kolokol» is also counseling (not only from the pages). Tatiana, who takes calls, tells: "People, including pastors, often call to talk about their situation, to receive encouragement, ask for prayer support. «Kolokol» is trusted!".

 

Christian newspaper raises the authority of the Church in society, and the stereotypes about Christianity are crumbling in the minds of people. Recently, we received a call from a man from Minsk who was presented with the Christmas number of «Kolokol». The man was thankful for the newspaper, said he wanted to get it all the time. Now he is subscribed for «Kolokol.

 

In the new year we started a new campaign "Subscribe a prisoner at «Kolokol»". Many prisoners want to know more about God, but they are unable to pay the subscription. Now we turn to the people in the churches with a proposal to subscribe the detainees (at their, reader's, own expense): in fact, this is a prison evangelism carried out through a subscription. This idea is already bearing fruit!
The Church "Word of Truth" (Novogrudok, Belarus) sent funds for subscription of 10 people in Belarusian prisons for 5 months (these people have already subscribed).
A woman from Pastavy, Zinaida Misnik, paid subscription to Dmitry Zotov (SG11, Volkovysk, Belarus) for 3 months. Dmitry wrote to us: "I am a regular reader of «Kolokol». The newspaper I was reading here were from my friend, a Christian. But he recently went to live in Germany... Please, could you send me the numbers of «Kolokol», at least the past? Maybe there is a possibility to send me "Kolokol" for free while I'm in jail? At the end of June I release, then I will begin to work, and I'll be able to pay for a subscription". After Zinaida paid subscription for Dmitri, he wrote us: "I want to thank you for your mercy, understanding and the help I have received through «Kolokol»... Your newspaper is very interesting and useful, it is possible to learn a lot. Thank you for all you do for us".
We will develop this direction in Ministry. And you can also participate in the prison evangelism subscribing prisoners to «Kolokol»!

 

1. God's guidance: so we can receive a clear direction from Him and were sensitive to His Spirit. Spiritual growth of everyone who works in the newspaper.
2. Supernatural financial provision for the service of the newspaper in this difficult time.
3. Ways of distribution of the newspaper, so the newspaper could serve a greater number of readers and subscribers.
4. The work of God's Spirit through «Kolokol», through the articles. So that people know the truth of God in different spheres of life; and the hearts and lives of people can be changed.
5. Let «Kolokol» contributed to the unification of the churches in evangelism. Such unity will give the opportunity for Christian media to be the voice of the Church in society.
6. Let the «Kolokol» team be now joined by new authors, assistants in different fields of Ministry: people who want to grow, to serve God and carry the Gospel to the people.
